What to expect from a treatment with Rooted Restoration Pod:
The space is designed to help you slow down, switch off and feel safe and supported throughout. Every detail is curated for your comfort, from the sounds, textures, warmth and nourishing oils used, to the movements and pressure I apply suited to your needs.
For a whole body experience I work with the face, head, stomach, limbs & back with the flow, steadiness & skill to gently invite your nervous system to reach deep relaxation for an hour of your day. This is not a rushed or clinical experience, it’s a quiet and grounding one where your whole body is offered time to soften & restore.
I offer a consultation beforehand and time to reset after treatment.

✨Introducing the oils you’ll experience in my bodywork:
Songbird wax is a sensuous, meditative blend of beeswax, olive oil, grapeseed oil and arnica- it’s great for grip on smaller areas
Grapeseed oil is light and slippery for larger areas. It’s particularly wonderful for the face with its nourishing vitamin and antioxidant profile.

People are asking about the project and the plan…
We are living in a time of deep exhaustion.
Many people in our community are overstretched, underpaid, caring for others, volunteering, organising, and holding things together — often at the expense of their own health.
Affordable, compassionate bodywork and relaxation support is becoming harder to access, especially for people on low or unstable incomes.
This project is about changing that.
With your help, I want to create a local, community-rooted space where people can access:
- Gentle, professional massage
- Deep rest and nervous system regulation
- Physical and emotional relief
- A sense of being cared for
Not as a luxury — but as something people deserve.
A Step-by-Step Plan to Build Community Care
This project is designed to grow carefully and sustainably, ensuring it remains accessible and rooted in community values.
Phase 1: Professional Training
I will complete an accredited ITEC holistic massage refresher course to ensure all treatments meet current safety and professional standards.
This protects clients and ensures high-quality, ethical care.
Phase 2: Temporary Community Treatment Space
When my son leaves for university, I will temporarily convert his room into a calm, hygienic treatment space.
This will allow me to begin offering low-cost and subsidised treatments quickly, while rebuilding relationships and trust in the community.
Phase 3: Permanent Therapy Cabin
Once demand is established, I will build a small, insulated therapy cabin in my garden.
This will become a stable, year-round community wellbeing space — private, accessible, and welcoming.
Phase 4: Sauna & Heat Therapy Space
The final phase is to add a small sauna.
Local demand for sauna and heat therapy is rising, particularly among people dealing with stress, chronic pain, and fatigue.
Sauna therapy has well-documented benefits, including:
- Muscle recovery
- Pain relief
- Circulation support
- Stress reduction
- Improved sleep
- Mental wellbeing
Combined with massage, it offers a powerful, holistic approach to restoration.
This will allow me to offer affordable massage-and-sauna packages, helping people access deeper care without high commercial prices.
Community Partnerships & Giving Back
This project is rooted in solidarity and mutual support.
I am actively building relationships with local charities, mutual aid groups, and community organisations to provide:
- Free or discounted treatments for carers and volunteers, people in financial difficulty
- Restorative support for NHS staff
& access for community organisers and volunteers
These partnerships will ensure that this space remains open to those who need it most, not only those who can afford market rates.
Why This Approach Matters
Large commercial wellness centres are often inaccessible and expensive.
This project offers an alternative:
✔ Small-scale
✔ Community-rooted
✔ Affordable
✔ Ethical
✔ Relationship-based
✔ Focused on care, not profit
It keeps wellbeing local and human.
How This Will Benefit the Community
With your support, this space will:
- Provide 15+ affordable treatments per week
- Offer monthly free community sessions
- Reduce isolation and burnout
- Support physical and mental health
- Strengthen local mutual support networks
- Create a safe place to rest and recover
This is an investment in collective resilience.
